On August 12, 2023, the Career Guidance and Alumni Affairs office at the Deanship of Admissions and Registration hosted a compelling session titled “From Students to Entrepreneurs: Be Inspired by PSUT Entrepreneurs' Success Stories.”
Held at the Luai Shamout Auditorium, the event showcased the journeys of notable Princess Sumaya University for Technology alumni who have transitioned into successful entrepreneurs.
The session was moderated by Suhaib Hiyasat, founder of BASE Consulting and Totti's Restaurant.
It featured inspiring talks from the following distinguished graduates:
• Suhaib Hiyasat: Founder of BASE Consulting and Totti's Restaurant.
• George Marashilian, Mohammed Alwa, and Ziad Abu Saleh: Founders of Vuedale.
• Leen Abu Summaqa: Fashion designer and founder of Lyn Bags.
• Asma Kayyali: Trainer and consultant in entrepreneurship.
Each speaker shared personal insights into their entrepreneurial journeys, discussing their motivations for starting businesses, overcoming challenges with the support of family and friends, and highlighting the competitive advantages of their ventures. Practical advice on managing employees and the significance of leveraging artificial intelligence in business operations also sparked a lively discussion among the 24 attendees, including current students, graduates, and other entrepreneurs such as Mohammed Hijazi, founder of EJARJAR.
The event was marked by enthusiastic participation, with attendees posing numerous questions and offering feedback on the value of such sessions in mentoring and guiding aspiring entrepreneurs.
