Dr. Salem Al Nimri graduated in the academic year 2003/2004 with a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering. He completed his studies at the University of Central Florida, earning a PhD in Electrical Engineering in 2010.
He is currently working at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in Maryland, USA. Salem led a team of NASA’s engineers to Antarctica.
They deployed new systems to service low Earth orbiting satellites and conducted experiments on future communication protocols that will enable interplanetary communications. He has published more than thirty research papers in peer-reviewed magazines and presented his work in national and international venues. NASA recently awarded this outstanding PSUT graduate, Dr. Salem Al-Nimri, an Exceptional Achievement Medal, the Agency’s most prestigious award on the international level, which is given in recognition of significant contributions made to NASA missions. On August 2022, Princess Sumaya University for Technology honored its graduate, Dr. Salem Al Nimri, for receiving the medal from NASA. PSUT President, Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, honored him along with several deans of the faculties.
