The Sixth National Conference on "Aligning School Programs with Labor Market Requirements" was held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. The conference was dedicated to studying and evaluating the university's academic curricula from the perspective of its graduates who have founded companies or
held managerial positions in both public and private sectors. Participating in the conference were 101 companies and institutions, including 32 companies founded by university graduates, 19 graduates holding managerial positions in companies, and 50 partner companies that participated in the conference and the annual job fair, in addition to faculty members and university students.
The conference commenced with the following speeches:
- A speech on behalf of the alumni founders, delivered by PSUT alumnus and founder of Tamatem Games, Mr. Hussam Hammo.
- A speech by Ms. Susan Al-Shanti, Executive Director of Human Resources at Housing Bank.
Following this, Professor Wejdan Abu Elhaija, President of PSUT, honored graduates who have excelled in their achievements in the job market:
- Graduate Amjad Massad, Founder of Replit.
- Graduate Hussam Hammo, Founder of Tamatem Games.
- Graduate Issa Fakhouri, Founder of Bidaya Technologies.
Additionally, she recognized graduates who have founded successful companies in the job market and those who have held advanced managerial positions, all of whom participated in the conference.
After the opening and recognition session, an interactive dialogue was moderated by Dr. Adiy Tweissi, Director of the E-Learning Center, and attended by Professor Ashraf Ahmad, Dean of KHSC at Princess Sumaya University for Technology, along with the following graduates:
1. Anas Hajawi, Founder and CEO of MobilezNation.
2. Hussam Hammo, Founder of Tamatem Games.
3. Issa Fakhouri, Bidaya Technologies.
4. Lamees Al Maaita, Regional Manager at Refinitiv.
5. Violet Salama, Analyst at Wisdom Company.
The profound discussion focused on academic curricula and the importance of university specializations in the current stage, involving PSUT President, Professor Wejdan Abu Elhaija, university faculty representatives, students, and professors.
