PSUT honored Amjad Masad, a distinguished
2010 computer science graduate, founder, and
current CEO of Replit, which recently partnered
with Google. The university president, Prof. Wejdan
Abu Elhaija, welcomed Masad and expressed
pride in his global achievements, emphasizing
the university’s role in fostering a pioneering
and creative environment. Dean of King Hussein
School of Computing Sciences, Prof. Ashraf Ahmed,
commended Masad as a computing and application
development role model. During a conversation
with students, Masad shared his 12-year journey,
highlighted working with major companies like
Google, and discussed Replit’s focus on making
programming accessible. Abu Elhaija concluded
the ceremony by honoring Masad, underscoring
the university’s pride in its graduates’ global
accomplishments.
