Mohammad Khalil
Mohammad Khalil graduated in the academic year 2008/2009 with a
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, and also completed a Master’s in
Information Systems Security in the academic year 2013/2014.
Mohammad also a PhD degree with distinction from Graz University of
Technology, Austria.
Mohammad is a senior researcher (Forsker II) at the Centre for the Science
of Learning and Technology (SLATE) at the University of Bergen’s Faculty of
Psychology. Mohammad is a highly experienced researcher and has received
significant funding to support his research in technology reinforcement learning,
self-structured learning, learning/teaching analytics, educational data mining,
online learning, privacy, and ethics.
Mohamed is also a Norge Standards member, the editor of Springer Learning
Analytics in Open and Distributed Learning, a guest editor of the Journal of
Computing in Higher Education, and the co-editor of the International Journal
of Emerging Technologies in Learning (iJET). He also serves on the committees
of several international education technology conferences and serves as a
reviewer for several major academic journals.
He has over 60 publications in his academic portfolio, including papers in peer-
reviewed scientific journals, book chapters, and participation in international
conferences and seminars. Three exceptional paper prizes were given to him at
EdMedia 2015 in Montreal, Canada, EMOOCs 2016 in Graz, Austria, and EDEN
2018 in Genoa, Italy.
